History
Organized in February 1950
Club Flower: Daffodil
Club Motto: Beauty through neatness and grace.
The Bay Colony Garden Club was founded in February 1950 and is one of the oldest garden clubs in Virginia Beach. Our mission is to stimulate and encourage the love of gardening among amateurs, to protect our native shrubs, trees, wild flowers and birds, and to promote civic planting and beauty.
If you live in Bay Colony. Cavalier Park or Linkhorn Park and are interested in becoming a member, please contact our Membership Chair by emailing us at [email protected].
Currently, the club is working towards raising the funds for the installation of a new native plant garden at the Cavalier Triangle. In the Spring of 2013, we were able to complete the refurbishment of York Triangle with the help of Meg French who graciously donated her time and talents to creating plans, our neighborhood civic league who contributed funds towards the project, and the community support we received at our annual Greens Sale and Holiday Market. Together we are keeping our neighborhood a beautiful place to live.
